I have trained dogs for 27 years, and have attended seminars with Cheryl Smith, Turid Rugass, Caroline Clarke, Jean Donaldson, Ian Dunbar, and my latest seminar was with Doggone Safety Bite Prevention. I have been a Canadian Kennel Club Canine Good Neighbor Evaluator for several years now. My dog(s) and I have earned titles in both Obedience and Conformation, we have earned Canine Good Citizen (USA) Herding, CD, CDX, and Temperament tests. I have been covering dog aggression for decades. I am also currently involved with the Pitbull ban and their rescues. I have completed all levels of obedience with my own dogs as well as teach all levels. I chose this line of work because I truly enjoy the company of both people and animals, and
I especially enjoy doing therapeutic visits around the city with my dog, Luke, to bring joy to those in need. All dogs can be good dogs with the right help- it can become a reality.

"Kim Pritchard and T.P.O.C. certifed Luke, have been providing weekly pet visits to the Mood Disorders/Ward 16 and Admitting unit/Ward 13 at Providence Care Mental Health Services site since October of 2007. During the visit, the focus is on allowing the clients to have a positive interaction with a canine visitor and handler. Many clients reminisce about previously owned pets or current pets who reside with family members. This is also an opportunity for unconditional acceptance and affection from the dogs. Strict policies and procedures are adhered to regarding location of the visits and hygiene regarding the visiting dog. Clients are encouraged to come and actively visit with the dogs. Personal choice is respected and the dogs only visit in a certain location."

"Therapeutic Paws of Canada is a national volunteer therapy dog and cat Visitation program. This organization is responsible for bringing an abundance of joy and much improved quality of life to clients living in the hospital and in the community. An example of this service and work begins with James Kingsley, a resident of PCCC-MI-IS, and client of the Community High Intensity Treatment Team.
